Product Information:
This is a top of the range high temperature controlling micro computer thermostat. Use these item to control both your enclosure heating by way of the thermostat, as well as your enclosure lighting by way of the inbuilt timer.
Thermostats are a key piece of equipment useful for any reptile housing. Used correctly a thermostat will help you control the temperature inside your pets enclosure to ensure that the enclosure is maintained at its optimal temperature.
These particular thermostats are simple to use and ready to be plugged in. Simply plug the thermostat into a wall socket, plug your heat source into the thermostat, set the desired temperature on the thermostat, place the thermostat probe inside your enclosure and off you go. No need for wiring nor electricians.
They have an accuracy of +/- 1C and with a safety backup cutout and alarm if the temperature exceeds +/- 3C. The alarm also sounds if there is a failure in the item so you can be confident that the thermostat is doing its job.
Below are some comments from happy users of the ATC-210 thermostat which comes from the same manufacturer of this item:
"We just bought the ATC-210 yesterday and cant believe how good it is. Very accurate and easy to use and digital - a big plus. It also tells the actual temp in the enclosure rather than just telling what temp you have set it to get to. Also if you want to run a UV light or just a different set of enclosure temps off it it has a second plug that runs off a timer. The first plug also runs off a timer (if you want). We got it to run a night / day cooling temp set up for our breeders. And it has an over / under temp alarm in case things go wrong. We have found over the last 24 hours it has kept the temp easily within 1.0C of what we set it too (more like 0.1 actually!)."

"They’re pretty awesome thermostat, definatley the best I’ve ever come across in my reptile years."
and....
"I use a couple of these. Very good, and very happy with them. Holding temps are very precise after the initial adjusting time, and as with Dimers, good on the globes. Of the two encs i use these on (each enc running three 40Wglobes), I think Ive only changed 4 globes in 12 months. The best thing about them to is the all in one approach (ie daylight and heat ) component. Cheap when you consider others you need red eyes etcc..."
These items can also be used with incubators, brooders, aquariums and any other application where a defined temperature range needs to be maintained.
NOTE: Please be sure to set your thermostat and heating sources up to ensure that they are running effectively BEFORE introducing any animals to your enclosures.
